iPhone SIM unlocked works on Maxis in Malaysia?

After several days iPhoneSIMfree released to the paying customers the software used to unlock the iPhone (which is tied to At&T only in the US), a team of hackers worked on their own free version, using iPhoneSIMfree's software codes.

Very shortly, the team of hackers collectively known as iPhone Dev Team, have managed to crack the code and began to roll out its own iPhone unlocking software, called the iUnlock. This is the first, free, open sourced iPhone SIM unlock application, and the amazing thing is this is released only after 74 days the iPhone is released. Moreover, it was reported that the iUnlock is restore-resistant too.

What's more interesting is the iPhone Dev Team have released a list of 32 countries and 69 telco carriers that have been tested to work with the iUnlock app. Listed within the list is Malaysia's Maxis and Singapore's SingTel.

Can anyone having an iPhone that have been unlock and works here in Malaysia or Singapore to verify this report??
